I’m Kayla Renee Rutan — the face and heart behind Renee Rutan Photography.

As a Florida native, I’ve spent my life soaking in the beauty of our local beaches, parks, and hidden photo gems. Now, I get to use that familiarity (and love for golden-hour light!) to capture beautiful, natural, joy-filled moments for families, couples, and expecting mamas.

Renee Rutan Photography was born from personal experience. Over the past few years, I hired several photographers for milestone moments — my engagement, wedding, and honeymoon. While some photos turned out beautifully, many left me disappointed. It wasn’t about the talent of the photographers — it was the lack of direction, personal attention, and small adjustments that make a big difference. I remember wishing someone had told me to lift my chin, smooth a stray hair, or adjust my posture. Those little things matter, especially when you're trying to freeze time and preserve something precious.

That’s why I do things a little differently.
